Another Eritrean Biniam Girmay is latest king of Tour du Rwanda as it enters a tougher phase.

Girmay, the youngest cyclist among the dozens taking part rode unchallenged through Karongi-Musanze stage for 138.7 km. Five Rwandans made it in the top ten finishers of the Stage.

Girmay took the mountainous region after Edwin Avila from Colombia of the Cycling Academy team won the Stage 4 yesterday.

Eritreans are giving others a hard time and have taken two previous stages.

Meanwhile, Rwandan Jean Claude Uwizeye of Team Rwanda has pulled out of Tour du Rwanda 2019.

Speculation is that Uwizeye may have pulled out due to exhaustion or illness. A medical to be conducted will show his state.

Team Rwanda is yet to show its mark now that Tour du Rwanda is Category 2.1, among top 2 on the African continent and edging closer to Tour de France.
