CECAFA Kagame Cup Draws Rwanda Military Side Against Uganda’s Proline

Rwanda’s military side APR FC will face Proline FC from Uganda in what could be one of the most watched games of the upcoming CECAFA Kagame Cup.
According to the draw released Thursday by CECAFA secretariat in partnership with local football body Ferwafa, the tournament will kick off on July 6, 2019, with two games to be played from Group C in Kigali.
South Sudan’s Atlabala FC will face KMC from Tanzania in the first match; before the three-time winners, APR FC battles Proline FC of Uganda later on.
In Group B, fans will be entertained on Day-Two by Tanzania’s Badali FC clash with Ugandan Champions KCCA away in Huye district.
2018 Cecafa defending champion Azam FC of Tanzania will face Rwanda’s Mukura VS in the second game. All games to be played at Huye stadium.
Group A games will also be played on Day-TWo of the tournament when KM FC of Tanzania takes on Atlabara of South Sudan before Rwanda national league champions Rayon Sports FC is up against DR Congo champions TP Mazembe at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Group D matches will be played on Day-three, July 8, 2019, at Umuganda stadium in Rubavu with KM of Zanzibar taking on taking on AS Ports of Djibouti in the same venue.
The other attention-grabbing match which will be played that day is between Gor Mahia of Kenya against Daring Club Motema Pembe of DR Congo.
According to the draws, all teams will play against the other in the groups before the top two teams progress to quarter-finals on July 17, while the semis will be played July 19.
The final of this year Cecafa club games will be played on July 21, 2019, with the ground to be revealed.
