Uganda Claims to have Admitted Truck Driver Arriving from Rwanda with Coronavirus

Ugandan security and medical staff trampled on truck driver immediately he crossed from Rwanda into Uganda on Sunday evening.
All dressed up in heavy personal protective equipment, the team stopped a truck on the Ugandan side of the Kagitumba border, which is Mirama Hills in Uganda.
He was put in a waiting ambulance, which sped off to a COVID-19 treatment center in Mbarara district.
The driver, identified as Kalisa was coming from Rwanda after delivering cargo, says Uganda. The driver’s itinerary began in Mombasa, Kenya, via Uganda’s Malaba border into Uganda enroute to Rwanda.
According to Uganda’s health ministry, the driver was tested at Kigitumba-Mirama border, through its rapid testing system which found the driver was positive.
Since May 9, cargo trucks entering via Kagitumba/Miramba border (Rwanda/Uganda) and Rusumo border (Rwanda/Tanzania) are stopped at the border. For onward delivery of the cargo, the truck is handed to a Rwandan driver.
For the case of Tanzania, trucks fron there stop at border with their trucks. As per agreement reached over the weekend, the cargo is offloaded onto Rwandan trucks, except for petroleum and perishables which are allowed to move into Rwanda but with escorts.
At this point, various issues arise about the truck driver whom Uganda has taken into isolation for COVID-19 treatment; did he enter Rwanda with the virus and then tested positive on return at border; or did he get the virus in Rwanda; or did he get the virus at border without entering Rwanda.
